In an effort to provide relief for families of victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks on America, Disc Jockeys all across the world are planning to donate portions of their proceeds from gigs worked on December 1 to the Todd M. Beamer Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Beamer's widow to benefit the children and widows of those killed on Flight 93 on that fateful day. Beamer and other passengers on the doomed flight are an inspiration and a shining example of heroism in the face of danger. These brave men confronted their hijackers, resulting in Flight 93 crashing into a field in Pennsylvania, rather than its intended target. With much of the world's fundraising efforts focused on the World Trade Center, donating to the Beamer Foundation was the idea of John Allo, owner of John Allo Productions DJ Service in Rockland, Massachusetts, (http://www.johnalloproductions.com) as a way of illustrating to the world the empathy, care and concern of the DJ industry. "Beamer and those on that flight are true American heroes," states Allo. "Their actions in the face of crisis are deserving of our efforts.
